Baby First Aid: Learn essential skills for infant emergencies (injuries and illnesses) in this hands-on, 2-hour course. This course covers choking, burns, fevers, and more. Ideal for parents and grandparents. This 2-hour course will run in the evening and on Saturday mornings to facilitate easier access for busy parents.
This is an unaccredited course (no certificate issued) to help you be equipped to know what to do in an emergency with your little ones.

This course is specifically designed for new parents, parents, and grandparents, or anyone who cares for infants.

What age range does this course cover?

This course focuses on first aid for infants, generally considered to be from birth to 1 year old.

What topics are covered in the course?

We cover a range of infant-specific injuries and illnesses, including: 


·       Bleeding


·       Head injuries


·       Fractures and dislocations


·       Burns


·       Choking


·       Poisoning


·       Febrile convulsions


·       Croup


·       Whooping cough


·       Fevers


·       Other minor conditions

What should I wear to my first aid training?

Wear comfortable clothing, preferably not suits, dresses or skirts, as some practical assessments are done on the floor.

Do I receive a certification after completing the course?

This is an unaccredited course designed to provide essential first aid knowledge and skills for infants. Participants can request a Certificate of Attainment upon completion, which acknowledges their participation in the training.
